We still need help with the hospitality table!

Below is the link for the PTO Board to sign up for a shift (or more!) at the hospitality table during the Magnet School Open House on Tuesday January 28 through Thursday January 30, 9-2. Ideally, we'd like to have at least one PTO Board member at the table at all times (there's space for two to sign up). Anyone can work at the table! All visitors will have the opportunity to attend a half-hour session with Kim Dechant every half hour on the half hour (9:00, 9:30, 10:00, etc.) and then to take a half-hour tour with one of our trained parent tour guides. The hospitality table folks will simply welcome visitors as they arrive, chat with them between sessions (say someone arrives at 9:15), answer questions as they can, and share their experiences. I encourage anyone who loves Claxton to sign up! It makes a big difference to prospective parents to see how much we love and support our school.

3^rd Grade Parent Meeting & Dinner with Principal Kim Dechant to discuss the new READ TO ACHIEVE legislation

This new legislation will have a direct impact on your third grader and his/her promotion to 4^th grade.

Wednesday, February 5^th

FREE dinner will be provided by Moe’s

Agenda:

·    2:30-5:00—3^rd grade students can stay with 3^rd grade teachers

·    5:00-6:15—Dinner for students and parents

·    6:15-7:00—Presentation from Principal about Read to Achieve

·    7:00-7:30—Question and Answer session

Child care will be provided from 6:00 until 7:30.
