SPRING FOR CLAXTON!

Claxton Elementary School
2012 Spring Fundraiser

Dear Parents, Grandparents, Family and Friends!

First of all, thank you.  Thank you for your tireless support of your children at Claxton Elementary School.

Gone are the days of fully funded public school programs.  Each year the Claxton PTO raises money to help support teachers in the classrooms, pay for exciting additional programs and student activities, and buy new school equipment.  Our goal this year is to have 100% family participation to raise $15,000.

Because we value your time and continued efforts we want to make the fundraising simple.  This year, from the comfort of your own homes, you are cordially invited to…

SPRING FOR CLAXTON
February 9-March 9, 2012
RSVP PLEASE!

No babysitters, no admission cost, no selling various subscriptions, gift wrap or otherwise.  Just donate so that 100% of all monies raised goes to what really matters: the kids.

Your generous donations provide the resources to sustain the programs and opportunities we’ve come to know and appreciate at Claxton as well as help facilitate the margin of excellence that sets our school apart.  A few examples of where the money goes:

  • classroom supplies for all teachers
  • assemblies such as the storytelling festival and LEAF in Schools
  • class field trips and class projects
  • staff appreciation events and improvement of the grounds
  • the Claxton Directory, the Back to School Ice Cream Bash, 5th Grade Graduation
  • After School Arts
  • and much, much more…

We are asking ALL of our families to SPRING FOR CLAXTON.  If everyone gives to the best of their ability, we will more than exceed our goal.  For $5, a teacher can buy art supplies; for $25, an entire classroom can participate in a science experiment; and for a $100 gift, a teacher can add 20 new books to the classroom library.

SPRING FOR CLAXTON NOW!
Making an online donation has never been easier.  Just click the button below!

All donations are tax deductible.

Thank you!
Thank you for all you do to support your Claxton student and for your financial support that benefits EVERY Claxton student!

Enjoy some great pizza with fellow Claxton families!

When?   February 21st from 5:00 to 8:00
Why?   Because they love us and we love them!

Barley's has been a long time supporter of Claxton, and a spirit night at Barley's is about as good as it gets!  Kids have fun. Parents have fun.  Low key dinner with no need to cook, and a portion of sales go to support the Claxton PTO.... It's a beautiful thing.

Time to eat some Doughnuts!

Starting Thursday February 2nd, 4th grade will have Krisy Kreme certificates for sale!

"What's a 'certificate'?" you ask.  "I've never heard of that kind doughnut!"

The certificate are a hot-and-fresh-when-you-want-them alternative to picking up a box of doughnuts at school.  Instead, you buy the certificate and you can swing in to pick them up next time your sweet tooth attacks.  Buy a handful -- take them to the office, take them to Grandma, take them to church on Sunday morning, take them along to the park or a party, use them to bribe your kids to clean their rooms!

Proceeds of the doughnuts sales will support the 4th grade field trip in May.
